Last Day of May

We are turning the corner towards the end of the semester. Emily has four and a half teaching weeks left in the kindergarten and three in the elementary school. I have four weeks left of class and finals week. We are looking forward to some rest time.

Today we're hoping to do some much needed organizing, reading, writing and riding (of bikes). The weather is really starting to warm up now and it'll only be a matter of a week or two before it's sweltering!

Please remember us in these things in the coming weeks:
- to know how to love and discipline the children at the school
- for the parents to have a change of perspective on love and discipline, so that the teacher's job would be easier (along the lines of Proverbs 29:15 and 17 that say: The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother, and Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.
- that we would use the summer effectively
- that God would give me a true gift for Chinese language, whether that be progressively through hard work or miraculously
- that the scholarship (for which I still have yet to explain) will come through on June 6
- that we might have opportunities to make His glory known in the final weeks of the semester

From the words of Agur today:
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
